6:10pm Tuesday 22nd October 2013 in News
A TEENAGER needed hospital treatment after suffering a dog bite while protecting his pet in Clacton.
The 13 year-old boy was walking his family dog on a lead when it was attacked by another dog, believed to be a German Shepherd.
When he tried to stop the other dog from attacking his pet, the teen was bitten on his right arm.
He suffered 13 puncture wounds to his arm and was later taken to hospital for treatment.
It happened at about 2.30pm on Saturday October 5 in an alleyway between Clacton airfield and Millers Barn Golf Club in Jaywick Lane.
Police officers are trying to track the dog’s owner.
She is described as a woman in her 50s or 60s, of chubby build and with shoulder-length curly brown and grey hair.
The woman was walking two dogs, both believed to be German Shepherds – one white and short-haired, the other brown with long hair.
Anyone with information on the incident or the owner should contact PC Nikki Heath at Clacton police station on 101.
