AN AMBITIOUS £4million seaside sculpture is back on the cards for Walton despite a funding crisis that has halted the project for more than five years.
German architects Anne Niemann and Johannes Ingrisch have been planning to build a 25 metre structure 800 meters off the coast of Walton since 2004.
The art-led project called Lost Town is to raise awareness of coastal erosion and climate change as well as become a tourist attraction for the town.
The sculpture will be made of steel and consist of 41 pylons of different lengths with a diameter of 70cm.
The project is now set to be presented to funding authorities to see if it can finally get finished.
