Whizz kids get new space age technology

WHIZZ kids at a nursery school in Clacton have been getting to grips with new NASA approved laptop computers.
Chestnut Grove Kindergarten, in Pathfields Road, have bought four tough new Lenovo Thinkpads for the children.
Madeline Boyle, from the nursery, said laptops had previously been shared between the rooms, but that keys would come loose and buttons would start jamming.
“They just never seemed to last very long,” she said.
“Probably because they were being used continuously by under fives.
“We decided we needed to buy a more hard wearing version, that could withstand pre-schoolers using them.
“They are the only laptops to have been used in space and approved by NASA and are extremely tough and simple in their design.
“The children are finding them easy to use and we've shown them photos of the astronauts using them too.”
