Tribal troupe to dazzle in Kirby show
12:00pm Friday 11th October 2013 in News
A TRIBAL troupe is set to put on the performance of a lifetime in Kirby as part of a national fundraising tour.
The Osiligi Maasai Warriors, from Kenya, will visit the village to perform their signature all-singing all-dancing show.
Their performance tells the story of their lives and spreads the word about their culture.
Troupe spokesman John Curtin said: “Their performance is a sensation to watch, with all ages, from five to ninety five, being enthralled and excited by their natural rhythm and song."
It is the troupe’s tenth year touring the UK.
They first started the tours to raise cash for their families and community, located 30 miles south of Kenya capital Nairobi.
The Osiligi Maasai Warriors show will take place at St Michael’s Parish Church in Kirby-le-Soken, on Saturday October 12 at 4pm.
Tickets cost £10 for adults, £8 for concessions and £5 for children under 16. Family tickets are also available for £25.
They are on sale now at Kirby’s Walton Road Post Office tore, as well as Caxton Books in Connaught Avenue, Frinton.
