Clacton boyband hopeful in group split

AN X Factor star has split up from his band just weeks after their debut EP was released worldwide.
Greg West, formerly of District 3, along with bandmates Michael Parsons and Dan Ferrari-Lane have decided to part ways to concentrate on solo projects.
In a joint statement with his pals who he has known since they attended Sylvia Young Theatre School in London together, Greg thanked their fans, nicknamed 3eeks, who had supported the boys since before their time on X Factor.
Greg, who went to the Tiffany Stage School in Clacton’s Oxford Road, had found himself sitting near the top of charts when the boys released their debut EP in August.
The record went into the iTunes album charts at number six on pre-orders and into the top ten in Ireland, Indonesia and Singapore.
“It has not been easy to make this decision, especially so soon after the amazing results you guys gave us with our debut District 3 EP release – giving us top fives all over the world and the amazing turn-out at our first headline UK ‘3eek Out tour’,” the boys explained.
The lads remain friends and believe that there are interesting projects on the horizon even if they aren’t working as a group.
