Clacton: Tractor stranded on beach on rising tide
9:50am Monday 7th October 2013 in News
A COAST rescue team was sent to help a tractor which had become stuck on the beach with the tide moving in.
Coastguards received a 999 call from Clacton Sailing Club after their trailer recovery tractor became stranded in the sand.
Clacton’s coastguard rescue team was sent to the scene just before 1pm on Sunday.
Crew members made sure the people attempting to move the tractor were safe as the tide moved in and monitored the situation for any pollution.
Once the high tide had passed the team was stood down and the club were left to retrieve the stranded tractor.
