New cycle compound opened at Clacton railway station

A NEW secure cycle compound has been installed at Clacton rail station.
Train operator Greater Anglia said it has increased the number of parking spaces for bikes from 80 to 140.
The new secure facility is accessed via a key fob system, which is provided to cyclists for a £25 returnable deposit.
Station managers and officers from the British Transport Police were on hand at the station to promote the initiative and offer free security marking to cyclists last Friday.
Greater Anglia said it has implemented a wide variety of cycle-focused works sinice it took over the franchise in February 2012.
