Roundabout will be built to prevent deaths on A120

A MULTI-MILLION pound roundabout will be built at a notorious blackspot on the A120 in a bid to prevent further deaths.
The Highways Agency this week announced long term plans for a new roundabout in the Great Bromley area, near the Harwich Road, Park Road and Pellens Corner junctions.
In the short term the speed limit will be cut from 60mph to 50mph. Speed cameras will be installed to enforce the new speed limit.
The move follows a series of horrific collisions at the site which have claimed at least five lives in recent years.
In March the Highways Agency announced plans to close the gaps at the Hare Green and Pellens Corner junction by May.
It was delayed so traffic surveys could be completed.
