We love Clacton

A CAMPAIGN aimed at promoting Clacton has been backed by traders and guest houses in the town.
Clacton Pier owned Billy Ball launched the Love Clacton campaign last month to promote the seaside resort as a fantastic place to visit.
The Gazette has teamed up with the pier, Essex Police and Tendring Council for the inititive.
It comes after Clacton was critisied by an indepedent think tank as being a dumping ground for criminals, benefit migrants and vulnerable people.
Paul Kirk, from Brunton Guest House, in Carnarvon Road, Clacton, has backed the campaign.
“We support anything that can boost the town and improve our business throughout the year,” he said.
Mandy Rosier, chairman of Clacton Town Partnership, said: “I totally support Love Clacton – people do come here and have a great time.”
She added that the partnership also hopes to put on more events in the town centre to promote the town and its shops.
