MOTORISTS were caught in long delays following a crash involving two cars and a bus outside Frinton’s railway gates.
Police were called to Frinton Road, Kirby Cross, at 11.20am yesterday following the three-vehicle collision.
A spokesman for Essex Police said the incident involved a red Renault Kangoo, a black Ford Mondeo and a single-decker Arriva bus.
“A woman passenger who was in her 20s was treated at the scene by ambulance crews and was then taken to hospital,” she said.
“Officers are considering a prosecution of careless driving against a woman in her 60s, who lives in the Clacton area, following the collision.
“They may also offer her the option of improving her motoring skills via a place on a driver improvement course.”
The injured woman was not thought to have been seriously hurt. The road, which was left partially blocked following the collision, reopened shortly before 2pm.
