3:00pm Sunday 1st September 2013 in News
THE co-founder of a valuable service to reunite pets with their owners has died.
Pamela Daniels, who created Tendring Pets Reunited eight years ago with her husband Michael, died two weeks ago aged 77.
The couple have run the free service together from their Clacton home since then, offering advice and helping owners find lost pets.
Michael, 81, said: “We started it together and have worked hard to help people for the last eight years. We’ve always been here to give advice and help where we can.
“Over the years we have helped a lot of people and made a lot of friends through doing this, and I think people will be sad to hear what happened.”
Pamela died unexpectedly after suffering sudden heart failure.
Michael has pledged to keep the service going as best he can in memory of his wife.
The Tendring Pets Reunited service uses a database and contacts with various wildlife groups in the area to help owners search for lost pets.
People can contact the service by calling 01255 814172.
