Beach huts in Frinton sellling for £30,000

BEACH huts on the Essex Sunshine Coast are selling for up to £30,000 leading to calls for more to be built.
Estate agents claim the glorious weather this summer has led to a massive increase in people seeking their own hut.
Boydens, which is based in Frinton’s Connaught Avenue, said demand has sky rocketed in parts of Frinton and Clacton.
Nicole Stopp, from Boydens’ Frinton office, said: “This year the office has experienced a very high demand on beach-hut sales with prices ranging from £10,000 to £30,000.
“No doubt the good summer has brought out the buyers who see what good value a beach-hut can represent during the summer holidays.
”We could do with more beach-huts to sell as demand is very much still there, reflected in the prices which are as high as they have ever been.”
So far this season, the Frinton office has seen a 30 per cent increase in sales of beach huts.
Most of the increase has been in the middle market, which ranges from £10,000 to £15,000.
Prices of £30,000 are being fetched in the popular Wailings area of Frinton, which beach huts are support by stilts close to Frinton golf course.
