Rapper wants to make a difference in Clacton

A TOP Christian rapper who performed in Clacton says he visited the town make a difference and transform lives.
Rapper Jelz was brought to the town by Christian charity Asher Ministries in a bid to provide positive entertainment for local youngsters.
He described the gig as a special experience.
Jelz said: “The journey was most definitely worth it. I had a great time in Clacton and enjoyed the vibe we got from the crowd. It was special.”
The London-based musician is currently touring to promote his new EP – Barz Speak Volumez Inside – and spread a positive message to youngsters around the country.
And Jelz was pleased to have the opportunity to perform in Clacton after hearing about the town’s recent struggles with murders, assaults and knife crime.
He added: “This is very similar to London. I believe that rap music in some ways can be held responsible for contributing towards this.
“I am here to bring alternative that can influence lives in a positive way. For me my Christian faith has played an essential role in my development and growth so I share my story through music.
“For me it’s not about the glamour and fame, as nice as that is. For me it is about creating songs that will impact and empower lives in a positive way.
“If I came all the way to Clacton so just one life could be transformed then my job is done.”
