Patients urged to join new group in Clacton
4:00pm Friday 23rd August 2013 in News
HEALTH chiefs want to create patient participation groups for the inpatient wards at the community hospitals in Clacton and Harwich.
St Osyth Priory, Durban, and Kate Grant wards at Clacton Hospital and Trinity Ward at the Fryatt Hospital, Harwich are run by community healthcare provider, Anglian Community Enterprise (Ace).
Nicola Carmichael, director of operations at Ace, said: “We would like to hear from members of the public, preferably patients who have experience of our community hospital wards, who would be happy to form part of a new community hospitals’ patient participation group.
“Our community hospitals play a very important role in local healthcare and it is naturally important they remain patient-focused.
"The best way to achieve this is to involve patients in any decision-making processes and use their valuable experience of the service.”
Anyone interested in joining the group should contact Teresa Orton or Heather Fitch at Ace on 01255 201506 or email email@example.com.
