1:27pm Saturday 17th August 2013 in News
AN efit of a man who is thought to have robbed a teenager in Holland-on-Sea has been released.
An 18-year-old man from Clacton was walking along the promenade off Kings Parade shortly after 9pm on Monday August 12.
He was struck with an unknown object near to the Kingscliff Hotel and punched in the face by a man hiding behind a beach hut.
The attacker took the victim’s mobile phone but the injured party managed to recover it after a short tussle before running away.
Investigating Officer, Ds Tim Coyles, said: "This man stood up to his attacker and fought him off, leaving him with some facial injuries.
“Not only would we urge people to look at the efit and give us a name, but we would also like people to cast their minds back to last Monday night and Tuesday morning and recall whether they saw a housemate, sibling, partner or son return home with a bruised or cut face.”
The man in the efit was slim build, of mixed heritage, around five feet, 10 inches tall with a thin beard and moustache.
Anyone with information about the incident should call detectives at Clacton police station on 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800555111.
