Convicted blackmailer set to appeal

A CONVICTED blackmailer who has been jailed for 11 years is set to appeal.
Anthony Still, 52, from St John’s Road, Clacton, was found guilty of blackmailing a wealthy businessman for £630,000 over eight years after finding out he had a sex secret involving a teenage rent boy.
Still, who denied the charge, was found guilty following a trial at Chelmsford Crown Court and was sentenced in July.
Writing to the Gazette from HMP Chelmsford, he said: “I will be appealing my case vigorously and reporting certain people for perverting justice and withholding evidence.
“I have done nothing to apologise for except to my family for getting mixed up with this.
“I have not had any of that money I am being accused of.
“I do not accept the court’s findings and the reasons will become clear through my appeal. The truth will come out in the end.”
