St Osyth: Doctor Who super-fan completes Tardis search

A DOCTOR Who fanatic has installed a full-size Tardis outside his front door.
Super-fan Paul Friday, of Manfield Gardens, St Osyth, has finally completed his two-year search for a top class Tardis.
Paul, 42, who claims to be the sci-fi show’s biggest fan, forked out £1,500 for his new front garden addition.
It is an exact replica of the time machine used in the show, made from the mould used to create the Tom Baker-era Tardis to use at exhibitions.
Paul said: “I’ve been a huge fan for 35 years. It is something I latched onto from about the age of seven.
“Since then I’ve loved Doctor Who and the Tardis especially. I have a fascination with it and it really got my imagination going when I was younger.
“I used to make my own time machines from cardboard boxes and paint them blue to be like the famous police box.”
Paul has been searching for a real Tardis for the last two years.
He added: “Others have come and gone on Ebay but they have always been of a poor quality.
“I knew I would never get an original but it had to be a top quality replica and this is about as good as it gets.
“I was thrilled when I got it at last. It is a dream come true and worth all the time and money."
