A SAILOR who died suddenly had his ashes sprinkled into the Walton waves by lifeboat volunteers.
Stephen Eaton was found dead following a heart attack at his Walton home in January aged just 67.
Family and friends held a special memorial to Stephen, known locally as Twiggy.
More than 70 people gathered on Walton Pier to watch as the lifeboat crew emptied his ashes into the sea.
His cousin Pauline Green said: “Stephen was a very popular man and had a lot of great friends, and he will be missed by a lot of people."
