Cash grant gives beginner sailing boost

SAILING taster sessions are on offer thanks to a £10,000 grant.
The Colne Yacht Club, on Waterside, Brightlingsea, has used the Sport England grant to buy two 22-foot Hunter Sonatas.
People of all ages can take taster sessions on the yachts, and if beginners then get the bug they can progress to skills clinics and look to join the club.
- To book a free taster session, available from March 29 onwards, call the Colne Yacht Club on 01206 302594 or email waterside@colneyachtclub.org.uk giving available dates and contact details.
