Teen's keen to be crowned as queen
A TEENAGER from Clacton is hoping to be crowned Miss Essex after being named as a finalist of the competition.
Annabelle Janes, 18, will be competing for the title at the Sugar Hut nightclub in Brentwood, which is regularly featured on The Only Way is Essex, on April 26.
The winner of the contest will win a place in the finals of the Miss England competition.
Annabelle, a former Clacton County High School student, said: “Since school I have studied beauty therapy and have done promotional part-time modelling for about a year. I am now hoping to take a course in hair styling and makeup.
“I entered the competition as I was advised to do so by a photographer and I thought it would be very good to further my modelling.”
The teenager has also hosted events for the Beauty with a Purpose charity, which supports disadvantaged children around the world. Before the contest, Annabelle will take part in a bootcamp which includes tips on self promotion, catwalks and choreography, photography and modelling.
