New parking zone scheme planned for congested streets

NEW residents’ only parking zones will be launched in two congested roads in Clacton.

Owners and tenants have spent years calling for residents’ only parking in Crossfield Road and Anchor Road.

The scheme has been backed by Essex Parking Partnership and Tendring Council and is now out to consultation.

Pier ward councillor Paul Honeywood said residents have been campaigning for two years to have a permit zone introduced in Crossfield Road.

Residents will be able to have their say on whether the scheme goes ahead as part of a consultation which ends on April 25.
