Council staff raise cash for charity
FANCY dress and red noses have raised hundreds of pounds for comic relief.
The pounds and pennies have been counted from events run by nurseries, council staff and even an indoor bowls club.
St Clare's Nursery raised £31, Chesnut Grove Kindergarten collected £100, The Thursday Liners danced their way to £136, and the Walton Indoor Bowls Club raised £301.
Tendring workers at Clacton Town Hall and the leisure centre collected £342 for Red Nose Day.
Other events including an inflatable fun evening at Clacton Coastal Academy were also held for the charity day.
