Marks&Spencer launches beach clean scheme in Clacton
4:00pm Wednesday 20th March 2013 in News
STAFF at a Clacton store will take to the beach as part of a big clean-up scheme.
Marks and Spencer staff will don their wellies and grab handfuls of bin bags to clear up Martello Beach next month.
It is part of a national beach clean-up scheme being run by the chain across the country.
They want customers to join them and are offering £5 store vouchers to anyone who takes part.
A similar project was carried out last year, with staff and volunteers filling a mountain of bin bags with rubbish from the beach.
Among the array of items discovered was a roll of carpet.
This year’s event will take place on April 26.
