Clacton: Alarms donated to safeguard allotment sheds

A MASS of shed alarms have been donated to crime prevention officers to cut down on allotment crime.

The batch of 50 alarms was handed to Tendring officer Paul Teague to boost the Allotment Watch, set up by growers to safeguard allotments in the area.

Mr Teague said: “The alarms will be handed out to Allotment Watch members and hopefully they will deter crooks from targeting the sheds.”

The alarms were donated by the Clacton Area Crime Prevention Panel at a recent meeting.

More will be available at a Crime Reduction Day in Clacton town centre on May 30.
