Locals pile onto pier as film set extras
HOARDS of locals piled onto film sets at Clacton Pier after securing roles as extras in a new thriller.
The cast and crew of British movie Still Waters descended on the town for three days to film a handful of scenes at the pier.
They appealed for locals to jump in front of the camera and received applications from hundreds of hopeful applicants.
One of the extras Terry Geeves, 23, of Great Clacton said: “It was really interesting to see how it all works. There are so many people working behind the scenes.
“I’m looking forward to seeing the film when it comes out to see if I made the cut.”
Amongst the high profile names appearing in Still Water are Four Weddings and a Funeral star John Hannah and emerging actress Jenn Murray.
The psychological thriller should hit screens in about a year.
