Frinton: Charity book launched to boost poor Ecuador youngsters

TWO men from Frinton have teamed up to create a book for charity.

Dave Garlick and Simon Carter put the book together to boost a project helping underprivileged children in Ecuador.

Author Dave now lives in Ecuador to run the project which provides after-school activities for youngsters from poor backgrounds.

He asked pal Simon illustrate the book for him.

The book, named Bodger Rack, is the tale of a teenage distance runner. It will cost £9.99 with proceeds going to the Ecuador charity.

Dave and Simon will launch the book on March 23 at Frinton Gospel Chapel in Old Road, from 3pm.

Dave said: “We are hoping that people will come out and support us at the launch.

“We are trying to do good work in Ecuador and this is an important part of allowing us to build that up as much as possible.”
