Walton: Cabbie forced out of work by vandal attack
6:00pm Friday 15th March 2013 in News
MINDLESS vandals who slashed a cabbie’s tyres have cost him his job.
Stuart Rogerson, 55, of Walton, found his tyres punctured after an overnight attack in Connaught Avenue three weeks ago.
He was forced to scrap his jobs that morning to get the tyres replaced, which cost him more than £100.
The unexpected cost meant he was unable to pay the rental fees at Frinton Taxis.
Stuart said: “The knifing put my finances into deep trouble.
“This has all been caused by that mindless vandalism. I hope they realise the problems they have caused for me when they had nothing to gain from it."
Stuart has been forced to sign on at the job centre while he looks for work.
