Description released of Clacton assault thug

POLICE have released an improved description of a wanted suspect after a man was hospitalised in a Clacton attack.

The 50 year-old man was assaulted at about 7.15pm on Saturday March 9, in Carnarvon Road.

He suffered serious head injuries, but was rushed to hospital and is now in a stable condition.

An appeal for information was launched last weekend, but officers have been able to provide a better description of the suspect following enquiries.

The man is described as white, aged 25, of medium build and about 5ft 7ins tall.

He was wearing a dark coloured jacket with light coloured sleeves, dark trousers and dark trainers with a white band around the bottom. He was also wearing a white or cream coloured baseball cap.

The suspect is thought to have left the scene towards Hayes Road.
