A LITTLE dog has made her owners very proud by winning the prestigious title of best in breed at Crufts.
Peaches, owned by Valerie Phillips of Clacton, saw off scores of other wire-haired dachsunds to scoop the coverted title.
After winning her own open class she went on to beat the other top dogs in her breed - that meant being crowned the winner out of 103 dogs at the competition.
Peaches then went through to try her luck in the best of hound group where she rubbed shoulders with Jilly, a Petit Basset Griffon Vendeen, who went on to win this year’s best in show.
“This is the first time I have won best of breed at Crufts, it’s wonderful to pick it up,” Valerie said.
