Minister overwhelmed by Kilimanjaro climb support
AN adventurous minister who is set to climb Mount Kilimanjaro for charity has been “overwhelmed” by the support he has received.
Clacton pastor Eamonn Black will scale the 20,000-foot colossus in a bid to help underprivileged children in Africa.
He has been inundated with support for his giant gesture.
Generous business CCL Recruitment International donated the entire fee needed for him to take to the mountain, while he has also received discounts on gear from Colchester store Go Outdoors.
Eamonn said: “I have been blown away by the amount of support I have been getting for this.
“Local businesses have really stepped up and they have made all this possible.”
The epic fundraiser will help raise cash to help provide clean water for a series of African villages.
Eamonn is hoping to leave at the end of the month, but is still waiting for the date to be confirmed.
