New energy project for Jaywick opened

MORE homes in one of the country’s most deprived wards are being made more energy efficient.

Energy Alliance has launched the third phase of its Insulating Jaywick scheme.

Clacton MP Douglas Carswell officially opened the company’s Jaywick project office.

It is hoped the scheme will help to lower fuel bills for residents and has already seen 130 homes benefit from up to £10,000 of free energy improvement measures, including external wall and loft insulation, draught proofing and replacement boilers.

i already had free insulation in my loft and was told i didn't need my walls insulated as was told have already been done which is rubbish ,as when threaded an areal through the wall the cable went down in the wall cavity space. and the loft insulation did nothing to lower my fuel bills and did nothing at all to keep my flat warm average temperature in my flat after heating has been on is always 18c or below. might pay this place a visit and see if they can help me further

It all depends on just where you live peanuts.
the schemes running in Jaywick cater for those who live in Jaywick.
there are two contractors who have been completing home Improvements, 1) being under the banner of
www.iceenergy.co.uk
the other is hamiltonfirst.
both have done a different approach of its Insulating Jaywick scheme.
iceenergy has its contractor - "green deal Initive"
hamiltonfirst has "energy alliance" it seems.
I have the first type in the scheme which entails complete wall Insulation in various stages, ending with a complete pebble dash covering in white polar marble stone chip, new windows disregarding the outgoing units age
(mine were only just over 5 years old)
loft insulation deep enough to get lost in, and HITech air source heat pump units that generate ample hot water for all rooms radiators, and new HITech hotwater tank systems that are now mains water pressure fed.
So if you wished, you could run your shower direct from the hot water tank !!
The whole package works very well In all outside temperatures, as has been proven over the last few months.
Initially, we first few residents had some teething troubles, but all this has been rectified nearly 99% right !!
Like most, we still have little unfinished niggles awaiting completion before a certificate of conformity can be Issued on completion.

Would I recommend the whole package of Improvements If offered?

You would be foolish not too receive it all.

but you must live within Jaywick, including the village areas to qualify.

*note*
there are certain criteriour that must be achieved to be qualified able to recieve these free and very worthwhile additions.

Enquire at the new community Insulation Improvement offices by the Tamerisk car park, Jaywick.

I could do with a bulldozer next week,
so if you could oblige old chap,
that would be very good of you.
It wont be for long, only want to take up about 6 cubic yards of top soil.
Having a bit of a spring clean in my gardens.

Just a shame you never lived a little closer, eh.
