Clacton: Dad thanks kind strangers after daughter's lucky car crash escape

A DAD has thanked the selfless strangers who helped his daughter after she flipped her car on the icy roads.

Graham Syrett’s daughter crashed her car at about 7am on Monday morning.

She lost control on the perilous ice on Colchester Road near St Osyth.

Graham said: “Her car rolled over and went into a field after hitting some black ice.

“The car was a complete wreck but thankfully my daughter was ok. She was very lucky.

“Four or five very kind people stopped and sat with her until the emergency services got there.

“I just wanted to say thank you to them. It just goes to show there some lovely people there and really restores your faith in people.”
