AN array of animals will be unleashed in a historic tower on Clacton seafront.

The petting zoo will fill the Martello Tower on Marine Parade West for the third year in a row.

It will include alpacas, African sheep, tortoises, rabbits and guinea pigs.

The zoo has proved to be a massive hit over the past two years.

Owner Paul Nash said: “It is always really well received. The children love it and it brings people into the town.

“While it’s on it is one of the biggest attractions in Clacton."

The zoo will open up at the tower on March 23.

Paul has also been asked by the council to put on an animal display in a pen at Christmas tree island in Clacton town centre on March 29.
