Clacton/Weeley: Controversial planning inquiry delayed

A THREE-DAY public inquiry into a traveller’s controversial plans for a caravan site in Weeley has been postponed.

The inquiry has been arranged to examine plans to create a 20-pitch holiday site behind the derelict Starena Lodge in Clacton Road.

It was due to start today and run through Thursday and Friday at Clacton Town Hall.

But it has been delayed by the inspector due to travelling issues.

No replacement date has been set at this point.
