A VILLAGE pre-school is celebrating after it lept from an “inadequate” inspection to being rated as “good” in less than a year.

Burrsville Pre School on Burrs Road in Clacton was inspected by school watchdog Ofsted in May 2012 when assessors said it’s early years provisions needed “significant improvement”.

But less than a year later a new report has been carried out which says “children are supported well” and “learning good skills”.

Manager Mel Hobbs said she was delighted with the result of the more “rigorous” inspection.

“It would be great to get outstanding on our next inspection,” she added.
