Headteacher takes the helm of two schools

A HEADTEACHER will be taking the helm of two primary schools as a temporary emergency measure after one was left without a leader.

Anne Bray, former headteacher of Kirby Primary School in Kirby Cross, did not return to the school after the February half-term break forcing the education authority to bring in another teacher to cover.

John Crane, headteacher at Rolph Primary in Thorpe le Soken, was asked if he could fill the breach at least until Easter.

Parents have been informed of the changes in headship, as well as current talks on whether to make Kirby Primary into an academy.

Both Mr Crane and Mr Oxley said they wanted to reassure parents they are working to create the best possible future for the school.
