The Princes Theatre has announced the Proclaimers will be gracing the Clacton stage on August 4.
Over the past few years the pair, who hail from Scotland, have performed at the likes of V Festival, T In The Park, and Glastonbury.
They are probably best known for their single “I’m Gonna Be (500 miles)”, which was first released in 1988 reaching 11 in the Uk chart, but was recorded again with comedians Peter Kay and Matt Lucas for Comic Relief in March 2007 - it then shot to number 1.
