Clacton: Family loses locks for cancer charity
2:00pm Friday 8th March 2013 in News
A FAMILY have had their hair chopped off for charity in memory of a lost loved one.
Lynn Goffin, of Clacton, organised the sponsored hair cut with her children Sarah and Matthew.
It was done in tribute to Lynn’s mum Pam, who died of ovarian cancer ten years ago to the day of the event.
Lynn said: “The kids were a little nervous about doing it, but we all took the plunge and it went really well."
The haircuts were done for free at Tangles Unisex Hair Salon.
Lynn and Sarah both donated their hair to the Little Princess Trust, which provides real-hair wigs for youngsters.
They also raised more than £200 in sponsorship for Cancer Research UK.
People can still sponsor their efforts online at justgiving.com/LynnGoffin1603.
