Man traced following cash con at Clacton supermarket

A MAN wanted in connection with the theft of cash from a supermarket in Clacton has been traced.

Police released CCTV images of a man they want to talk to after a cashier was conned out of £30 in Clacton.

A man confused the cashier at the Oxford Road Co-op store while pay for 12 cans of cola.

Shops in the area are warned to be on their guard against this kind of trick, known as ‘ringing the changes’, and call police immediately if they suspect and attempts at the theft.

The incident happened at about 3.30pm on February 5.
