Radio stolen from hospital

A HOSPITAL radio bought using cash from a nurse led fundraiser has been stolen just weeks after it was put up.

Staff at Clacton hospital’s outpatients department discovered the £60 digital radio had been stolen when they arrived for work at about 7.45am on Tuesday.

The radio had only been put out about two weeks ago on a table in a first floor waiting area at Ivy Benson House, where patients go for outpatient appointments.

Sister Angela Barron said it was one of two radios paid for from the £120 that nurses had raised by raffling off a Marks and Spencer hamper.

Whoever took the radio should hang their head in shame. How low can you go?
