APART from a couple of trims little Jessica-Jane Edwards had never had a proper hair cut before.

But her first time in the salon chair will be one her whole family will remember.

The six year old, of Adelaide Street, Parkeston, had decided to have her long brown locks cut off her hair for charity.

Shocked mum Christine Dick looked on as her daughter’s “dream” hair fell to the ground - it is now on its way to the Little Princess Trust, which provides wigs for children with cancer.

Jessica-Jane has even asked if she can grow her hair to donate it again.

To date she has raised £500 from the hair cut, which will go to Great Ormond Street Hospital in London with more money still to be collected.
