Walton carnival court crowned

WALTON’s carnival queen for the coming year has been crowned.
Amy Twin, 15, has been picked to lead the 2013 carnival celebrations after impressing judges.
Completing the royal court are princesses Lesley Hayes and Holly Thurgood, both ten.
Queen Amy said: “This is so exciting it is already giving me butterflies. I’m so proud to follow in my mother’s footsteps as Walton carnival queen.”
The trio were picked at a fundraising evening where nearly £100 was raised towards their dresses.
