Clacton: Dates set for youth music showcase fundraisers

ORGANISERS are hoping to fill the final handful of slots in the line-up of a youth music showcase.
The battle of the bands competition has been organised by Clacton LiveGig, and will feature heats in Clacton and Colchester.
Round one will kick off in Colchester on Friday March 15 at TP’s Sports Bar.
The first Clacton event will be at the Liquor Lounge on March 22.
Under-18s are welcome and tickets will be available on the door.
Acts will meet in a live final in April at the Clacton venue after a series of preliminary rounds.
Organisers have a few slots to fill, and have asked any young bands, artists and duos to contact them if they want to take up a place.
They also want to secure the loan of a drum kit for the heats at the Colchester venue.
