A TALENTED youngster is hosting his own special event in aid of Comic Relief after getting the backing of top comedian Lenny Henry.

Luke Grint, 13, from Clacton, is putting on the fundraiser at St John’s Church Hall, Great Clacton, on March 8 at 7.30pm.

The budding clown and comedian will be hosting party games and a quiz to raise cash for the charity.

Dad Andy said: “He is doing a party full of magic, games, party dances, custard pies, gunge and general messing about.

“The games include a Play Your Cards Right spin off called Pie-er or Lower, where the losing team captain will get pied.

“We’ll have people wrapped up like presents and people feeding and shaving each other while blindfolded."

He added: “Luke has also had a message of support from Lenny Henry, who kindly signed a poster we had made to promote the party.”

Entry to the event is free and donations will be collected on the night. There will also be food and a raffle to raise cash. To donate, go to justgiving.com/flukeycomicrelief.
