12:00pm Sunday 17th February 2013 in News
POLICE are renewing an appeal for help to find a dad-of-four who went missing five weeks ago.
Jamie Toomey, 45, vanished from his home in Holland-on-Sea on January 6.
He was seen by CCTV cameras in Lower Promenade the following day.
Insp Dean Stratford, of Clacton police, said: “Essex Police, and Clacton police in particular, have put a great deal of effort into trying to find Mr Toomey.
“Despite several potential sightings, his whereabouts are still unknown to us.
“If anyone has any information that may help us find him and reunite him with his family, please call Essex Police.”
Mr Toomey’s sister Debra Nolan, niece Katie Nolan and separated wife Mandy held an emotional press conference following his disappearance.
They said Mr Toomey had been depressed and had talked about committing suicide before he went missing.
He is white, 5ft 9in tall, of medium build and bald. Anyone with information should call Clacton police on 101.
