Historic building to be converted into homes

PLANS for a historic building in Great Clacton to be used as homes have been approved.

Blueprints were submitted for change of use at 2-4 St John’s Road, which was previously used as offices.

Developers have now been given permission to turn the offices into two self-contained flats.

Parts of the building, near to St John’s Church, are thought to date from the 15th century, although the fronts were previously remodelled in a Georgian style.
