Clacton: Mother of murdered teen makes TV appeal
9:00am Monday 4th February 2013 in News
THE mother of a murdered teenager appeared on national TV to renew her appeal for her son’s murderer to come forward.
Clacton teen Jay Whiston was stabbed outside a house party in Marlowe Way, Colchester, on September 8 last year.
Nine people are currently on bail in relation to the incident.
Jay’s mum Caroline Shearer has been desperately appealing for witnesses to come forward, and renewed her appeal on TV show This Morning on Thursday.
She said: “We have got to keep going and doing everything we can to get someone to come forward.
“It is good to be able to get that out to such a wide audience, be it through the newspaper or on television.
“It makes us so angry that these people are staying quiet and letting us suffer like this. It is cowardly and makes you wonder if they even have a conscience.
“All we can do is keep plugging away and hope. I have great faith that justice will be done in the end.”
