Students to visit Nazi death camp

STUDENTS are to travel to the Nazi concentration camp of Auschwitz.

Nearly 200 students from 100 schools from across the region are taking part in the Lessons from Auschwitz Project which is run by the Holocaust Educational Trust.

Pupils from Tendring Technology College and Colne Community School are among the students travelling to Poland next month.

The aim of the project is to increase knowledge and understanding of the Holocaust and show what can happen if prejudice and racism become acceptable.
