Train services hit by delays for third time

First published in News

COMMUTERS were hit by delays on train services for the third day in a week.

Some trains between London Liverpool Street and Ipswich were cancelled or delayed during peak time on Friday morning.

Rail operator Greater Anglia said the problems were down to poor weather conditions.

Travellers were delayed by as much as an hour on Thursday morning and a number of trains were cancelled.

A broken down train at Chelmsford was to blame.

There was also disruption on the network twice on Monday.

Trains were delayed and cancellations occurred due to over-running engineering works.

Trouble then hit again during the afternoon and evening because of the weather.
