QD takes over Thingmebobs in deal

WORKERS at a Clacton store have been told their jobs are safe after a takeover by a rival company.
Norwich-based QD Stores has taken over discount chain Thingmebobs.
Both companies have stores in Clacton.
The 11 Thingmebobs shops, which employ more than 100 staff in total, will continue to trade under their own name.
QD says no redundancies are planned as a result of the takeover.
